Altenew | Modern Wedding Card using Garden Picks Die Set

Hi there everyone! I hope you're having an excellent week. Today I'm writing another blog post featuring the Garden Picks die set from Altenew. This is my third post with this die set as I was badly in need of more wedding and anniversary cards in my stash. By swapping out the sentiment, I think this design could easily could work for other occasions too.

As I mentioned in a previous post, when I get a new layering die set, I like to try out all sorts of color combinations and make a bunch of variations so I get a better feel for combinations and shades I like. This also gives me a chance to play with different layouts and designs using one stamp/die set. I take forever to put a layout together, so when I finally come up with one I am happy with, I like to make a set of cards rather than just one. In this design, I tried going for a much cleaner and modern look. To achieve this, I incorporated the Crystal Frames die set, as well as the Modern Lines stencil by Altenew.

I blended Rocky Shores ink from the left center of the card out with a blender brush so I could achieve a soft fade out to white. Over top of this I began playing with different flower arrangements. Normally I like to have tighter floral arrangements, however, I wanted a more airy look on this card so I tried to keep everything spaced out with minimal overlap.

To step up the design, I cut one of the Crystal Frames from Altenew from gold foil cardstock. I felt like this added to the modern feel, as well as helped ground the floral arrangement. To finish off the card, I stamped either a "Happy Wedding" or "Happy Anniversary" sentiment from the Vintage Roses stamp set in black VersaFine ink.

That wraps up this card set. Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting!
