Hello Everyone! I’m back with a super short blog post to wrap up my series using the Garden Picks die set by Altenew. In my last post I said I had used the last of the flowers I piled up, but as I was cleaning up I found a few stragglers!
For this design, I used the Watercolor Stripes cover die from Altenew to bring interest to the background. To make the white-on-white background stand out, I used thin foam strips to pop up the die cut piece, and then adhered it directly to a standard A2 white, top-folding card base. Next, I arranged two flower clusters on the panel - one in the bottom left and the second about two-thirds up the card on the right side. I thought this would be a nice way to frame the sentiment!
To finish the card, I white heat embossed a sentiment onto a light grey strip of cardstock and nestled it into the bottom left arrangement. I thought a sympathy sentiment worked well with this layout as I personally find an all-white background calming. I added a few Vintage Sheer sequins from Studio Katia to add a subtle embellishment. I really like using these sequins when I don't want to add more color or a lot of shine - so pretty and elegant.
I hope you enjoyed this series and found some inspiration here. Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting!
